On the Road with NET

Note: this is a series of our blog posts looking at stories and activities of PBS Member Stations.

For 64 years, NET has been the fabric that knits the stories of the state together, keeping its viewers and listeners engaged with the latest technology and services that educate and enlighten. One could spend nearly 9 hours driving from end to end of the 77,000+ square miles of Nebraska, and in Spring 2019, the program “On the Road with NET” travelled 722 miles and hosted 20 events in Beatrice, Crete, Nebraska City, Broken Bow, Lexington, McCook, and Kearney counties. The goals of this program were to spotlight local talent with live radio programs and bring local television productions to communities’ backyards. It also created a space for locals to share their successes and challenges in community Town Talk sessions with NET senior station leadership. Check out NET's 2018 Local Content & Service Report below to learn more about NET’s award-winning news team coverage of stories that matter to Nebraskans and other programs.
