PBS Station Survey:
WARN Refresh

Over the next 18 months, PBS will be refreshing the technology used to disseminate Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) through PBS stations to the nation’s mobile service providers. We are doing this to better support new messaging standards and to replace end-of-support equipment.

We anticipate replacement gear for your existing WARN system will start rolling out by autumn. Each station will be contacted by the WARN team well in advance of deployment. We will also provide regular webinars to communicate project status, and what to expect. They will start after TechCon.

In order to provide you with the best possible products and services, the PBS-WARN team is drafting a Request for Proposals (RFP) from industry. The RFP will be exclusively for station-level equipment, so we need your input and feedback.

We need your input. Please take a few minutes to answer the 9-question survey (link below). There is space for you to add comments and suggestions, too. Please respond by COB on Friday, February 22.

Thanks,
George
