2016 NETA Award Winner: Video Campaign
From South Dakota Broadcasting
The people who made this: Dave Foote, producer, and Fritz Miller, director of marketing
Budget: < $800 to produce; $15,000 to place on cable systems around the state.
For their “Learn. Dream. Grow.” video campaign, South Dakota Public Broadcasting wanted to use its longtime slogan and feature people who had been profoundly touched by the statewide
broadcast network. They didn’t want to hear simply how much a viewer/listener enjoyed a certain program or SDPB in general. After some searching, they found four people who spoke joyfully about their experiences.

What the Awards Judges review panel said:

“Use of actual viewers was awesome and the tie to the writer's contest was inspired. Having B-roll from back in the day was brilliant. Give the station archivist a RAISE!”
“Loved how they found the stories and really showed the growing and learning. Loved the graphic treatment and the overall look. Excellent. Very compelling and all three spots were very engaging.“
“Amazing work tracking down these individuals and their stories and tying them all together.”
"Best ratings in more than a decade... Score!”
